Subject: Of much help
I make period clothing in my spare time for multiple medieval, Victorian and Renaissance festivals. This book helped me sew the fabrics to be as close to the story as possible. I highly recommend this book if you are a beginner at sewing or knitting.

Great instructions on knitting Dutch heels for socks- and, even though it is a very old book, the instructions are understandable (make sense, that is) for today's modern knitters. The old stuff is usually written in a non-conformist way, but this book is not in that old mumbo jumbo. This book has instructions for everything- sewing, darning, needlework, knitting, and more. My only regret is that I do not own this title in a hard copy, .but only the download
